What we found on a Windows 11 laptop

We installed the desktop client from Chrome on a Windows 11 laptop (Intel i5, 8 GB RAM) and ran a live football page side by side with the same page in a normal browser tab.

  • Install took one click and under 5 seconds.
  • Disk footprint was negligible — under 1 MB, since it wraps the site rather than bundling it.
  • The live page felt marginally smoother in the client, which we put down to the absence of our ad-blocker and eight open tabs rather than any magic.
  • Our login carried straight over; no separate sign-in was needed.
